Transportation to and from school is provided by the Voluntary Interdistrict Choice Corporation (VICC) for all county students who have been accepted to a magnet school. In addition, activity transportation is available for middle and high school students who elect to stay after school for school-sponsored activities.  Refer to transportation guidelines.

Generally, transportation cards are mailed 2 weeks prior to the start of school. They contain the student’s route number, pick-up/drop-off times, location and transporter. If you would like to have your child’s card laminated, stop by the VICC office during regular office hours. A staff member will be happy to laminate the card for you at no cost.

During the school year, new cards will be mailed with every time change made to the bus/taxi route, change of address, school or transporter. This could occur as students are added to or dropped from your route during the year. Please review each new card carefully and destroy all old cards.

Any transportation problems or concerns should be addressed by first calling the contractor. If the contractor is unable to resolve the concern, then call the transportation division at 314.721.8657.

Normal operating issues, such as the following, should be addressed with the bus or cab provider:
• Looking for lost items left on the bus/cab
• Checking on activity bus location
• Checking to see if child is on bus/cab

Refer to your child’s bus card for the appropriate bus/cab company:
Missouri Central - 314.762.0318

Complaints or routing issues that should be directed to the VICC transportation division include:
Overall routing issues or concerns
Pick-up or drop-off location concerns
On-going concerns with driver or contractor that could not be resolved by working directly with them
Requesting taxi or other alternative transportation service in the event your bus does not show.

If there is a transportation issue or problem that has not been resolved to your satisfaction by the transportation division, you may appeal the matter in writing to: VICC, 7425 Forsyth Blvd., Suite 110, St. Louis, MO 63105, Attn: CEO. You will receive a written response within 10 days.
